BA Abuja flight aborted as plane develops fault
An Abuja bound British Airways aircraft which took off from Heathrow airport Tuesday night was aborted after suffering technical problem mid air.
The plane was airborne when the crew announced that the aircraft would be returning to its port of departure.
Passengers waiting to depart for London today could not do as there was no aircraft to airlift them.
The airline has made provision for another aircraft to pick passengers tomorrow.
There are indications that the carrier could deploy additional flight to take care of the backlog occasioned by the incident.
The airline, in a statement said its aircraft returned to Heathrow and was met by the emergency services as a precaution after experiencing a minor technical issue.
