Disaster averted as Turkish Airline plane tyres burst on landing at Port-Harcourt Airport

Disaster was averted early today when Turkish Airline was involved in serious incident of damage tyres upon landing at the Port-Harcourt International Airport.
The incident according to a top official of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Ooccured at 03.30 hours.
The source said passengers were safe upon arrival, adding that passengers who were expected to depart with the aircraft were kept in a hotel in line with international practice.
He further stated that the aviation regulatory body’s Airworthiness were on ground to assess the situation.
His words, ‘We are expecting Accident Investigation Bureau from Lagos and Abuja to commence investigation on the incident”.
He disclosed that the runway had been cleared of debris in time for seamless mornijng operations.
