African airlines continued their recovery, with February traffic up 7.1 per cent compared to a year ago. This mainly reflects the upturn on the key route to/from Europe, offsetting struggles in the region’s biggest economies of Nigeria and South Africa. The deportation of Nigerians from all over the world continued unabated as 40 Nigerians were today deported from Italy. The deportees arrived through the Hajj camp of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos aboard Air Meridiana with registration number E1 FNU.
