The high-profile event, now in its ninth edition, is scheduled to take place on July 27th and 28th, 2026, at the prestigious Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

This year’s summit is anchored on the highly relevant theme: “Tourism and Transportation: Building Connectivity and Mobility for Sustainable Development.”

The focus of the 2026 edition is on dissecting and exploiting the critical nexus between transportation infrastructure and tourism growth.

For an industry currently navigating economic headwinds and seeking a sustainable recovery, the summit aims to provide actionable roadmaps for building a more resilient and vibrant national economy through intermodal connectivity.

Over the years, the NTTS has firmly established itself as Nigeria’s foremost platform for cross-sectoral synergy. It consistently bridges the gap between policymakers, regulators, and private-sector players.

Key expectations and highlights of the 9th edition include:

  • High-Level Networking: A gathering of key decision-makers across the tourism, aviation, maritime, road, and rail transport value chains.
  • Policy Synergy: Deep-dive sessions designed to align the goals of relevant ministries, parastatals, and agencies with private-sector players.
  • Future-Proofing the Industry: Collaborative discussions centred on emerging global trends, digital transformation, and sustainable mobility frameworks.

National president, ITPN, Abiodun Odusanwo, said, “The summit is widely regarded as the premier gathering for combined tourism and transportation in Nigeria. By bringing together critical stakeholders, the event offers a unique collaborative space to chart new, sustainable pathways for the future of Nigerian mobility and hospitality.

With Minister Keyamo leading the aviation delegation, stakeholders expect critical policy statements on airport infrastructure concessions, airline support systems, and the integration of air travel with local tourism hubs to be a top priority.
