Just a few weeks before the French Olympic Team’s departure for the Rio Olympic Games, Air France has lent it support to Paris’ bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games as Official Supplier.

September 13, 2017, the date on which the International Olympic Committee will select the host city for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, these aircraft sporting the colours of “Paris 2024” will operate some 10,000 flights around the world –

Chairman and CEO OF Air France, Frédéric Gagey said, “the Olympic Games represent an important occasion for Air France. We supported the French teams in the Atlanta, Sydney, Athens and Beijing Games. We transported the Olympic flag from London to Rio and we are the official carrier of the 2016 French Olympic team. This demonstrates the extent to which Air France is proud to support Paris 2024’s ambition to stage the Olympic Games.”

According to Gagey, “Air France is a key company for the Paris 2024 candidature. Across the globe, the company portrays the image of France and its know-how, stated Etienne Thobois, Paris 2024 bid chief executive. If France and Paris have established themselves as major tourism destinations, it is thanks to the work of players who, like Air France, embody and defend the image of an ambitious France that is open to the world”.
