African airlines demand up by 10.1% in Aug
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for August 2024 global passenger demand with African carriers seeing demands rise by 10.1% year-on-year increase in demand. Capacity was up 7.3% year-on-year. The load factor rose to 77.8% (+2.0ppt compared to August 2023). Total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), was up 8.6% compared to August 2023.
