Star Orient Aviation Repositions, Expands Board

Star Orient (Aviation) Nigeria, a leading indigenous aviation services company has repositioned for improved efficiencies and competitiveness by strengthening its Board of Directors through the appointment of experienced professionals into its leadership.

With the recent resignation of Mr. Dare Osamo, Star Orient as part of the corporate development strategy said it will regularly evaluates its composition to ensure it includes the appropriate skills, experience and perspective necessary to drive growth for the company, the aviation cum oil and gas industry and indeed the nation al economy with a view to be appropriately positioned as value adding and strategic contributor.

 

They expressed confidence that the duo would provide valuable perspectives as they continue to execute their strategy, drive profitability and enhance value for shareholders and stakeholders.

Adewole, appointed in executive capacity is a seasoned businessman, oil and gas trader.

He is also the Managing Director of Shibawells Energy Services – the Joint Venture Partner of Star Orient. Shibawells Energy had been responsible for enormous support of trade, product finance and assets upgrade for Star Orient through Wema Bank Plc.

Through the joint venture, the company had witnessed growth and is desirous of enhancing the relationships as a pointer to the fact that systemic local collaboration will serve the strategic purpose of national economic growth.

Colonel Richard Westley (OBE) joins the Board as an independent non- executive Director/Board Adviser.

He brings to the company enormous command, discipline and training experience of the military and several years of private sector engagements in Europe, Africa and Middle East.
