The managing director of the agency, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku in her speech at the passing out parade ceremony held in Lagos said the training was one of the steps being taken by the agency to ensure total safety at the airports.
“This ceremony not only marks a significant milestone in your careers but also in the journey of FAAN towards bolstering the nation’s aviation security. It is also one of our strategic responses to the increase in the volume of passengers using our airports.”
Kuku charged them to put to good use all they have learned during the training program, urging them to embody the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
She emphasised that globally, the aviation business is hinged on security and safety, the aviation security department is, therefore, very critical to passenger facilitation and airport operations.
She expressed her appreciation to the management and staff of FAAN, President Bola Tinubu as well as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Chief Festus Keyamo for their support and encouragement.

In attendance at the event were heads, and representatives of aviation parastatals and security agencies including the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Nigerian Meteorological Agency, the Nigerian Police Force, the State Security Service, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the Port Health Service, amongst others.
