Minister, Ganduje laud Kuku over upgraded Lagos Hajj terminal

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo and the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, have lauded the Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, for the successful completion and upgrade of the Pilgrim Terminal Building at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The top officials expressed their satisfaction during a comprehensive inspection tour of the newly upgraded facility, praising the quality of execution and FAAN’s dedication to modernising critical airport infrastructure across the country.

Speaking shortly after the facility tour, Keyamo commended the Kuku-led management team for delivering a project that strictly aligns with global aviation standards and directly advances President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He underscored that the modernised terminal stands as a clear testament to the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to building world-class aviation infrastructure.

Keyamo noted that the revamped terminal will significantly elevate the passenger experience for pilgrims, eliminating long-standing operational bottlenecks and ensuring seamless, dignified travel during Hajj and Christian pilgrimage operations.

On his part, the FAAN Board Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, applauded the swift execution and high operational standards set by the authority’s leadership.

He emphasised that the board remains fully committed to supporting forward-thinking initiatives that boost revenue, enhance passenger comfort, and improve safety across Nigeria’s airports.

Kuku expressed gratitude to the Minister and the Board for their continuous support and strategic guidance.

She reaffirmed FAAN’s commitment to sustained infrastructure upgrades, stating that the Authority will continue to prioritise operational efficiency, safety, and a superior customer experience across all airport terminals nationwide.
