Xenophobia: FG to evacuate Nigerians from South Africa

As part of efforts to protect her citizens in troubled South Africa, the Federal Government has directed that Nigerians that are willing to come home should immediately be evacuated from the country by Friday free of charge.
They would be evacuated from the country by Air Peace on Friday.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was revealed that the move is not compulsory but for Nigerians who wish to leave South Africa.
A statement by Ferdinand Nwoye, the Ministry’s Spokesperson said;
”The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the general public that following the recent unfortunate xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals, including Nigerians in South Africa, the Proprietor of Air Peace Airlines Chief Allen Onyema, has volunteered to send an aircraft from Friday 6th September 2019 to evacuate Nigerians who wish to return to Nigeria free of charge.
