Wole Shadare shines, wins NIGAV Best Aviation Analytic Writer Award

Aviation Editor of New Telegraph Newspapers and CEO of Woleshadarenew, Wole Shadare, has been named Best Aviation Analytic Writer of the Year at ninth Nigerian Aviation (NIGAV).

It is Nigeria’s most prestigious air transport development awards which have become the benchmark for excellence in promoting best practice and innovation. Shadare also won the 8th edition in the same category.

Speaking at the event which held on Sunday at Oriental Hotels, Lagos, Head of the event committee, Mr. Fortune Idu said NIGAV over the past nine years has helped to maintain a balance between operational efficiency, industry vibrancy and service delivery by promoting healthy competition.

He noted that the award was an industry motivating factor for excellence and had helped to engender healthy competition for a safer air service delivery and a promoter of development.

Idu commended New Telegraph for its incisive, analytical and objective reportage of the air transport industry in Nigeria, stressing that aviation anchored by Shadare has helped to shape the sector positively.

Over 100 recipient, he said had been so far honoured in various categories of aviation excellence in the past with NIGAV recognising and rewarding 40 recipients.

Part of the major highlights of the iconic event is the selection of Commissioner, Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), Akin Olateru as Aviation CEO of the Year for his outstanding performance in the aviation sector and reposition AIB as the overall best performing aviation agency in Nigeria.
