NSIB records remarkable achievement in accident resolution rate-Badeh Jr.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Alex Badeh Jr said the agency has witnessed a remarkable improvement in its accident investigation resolution rate.

He reiterated that its use of cutting-edge technology, as promised during his inaugural address, has been instrumental in driving his team towards unprecedented success in unravelling the root causes of accidents and enhancing safety measures.

At the second NSIB stakeholders’ engagement and press conference for 2024 in Abuja, Badeh Jr noted that the dedication of the workers of NSIB to upholding the highest safety standards and diligence in investigating accidents have been commendable.

The NSIB according to him remains steadfast in its commitment to further improve its investigation techniques and processes, ensuring even more thorough and accurate investigations in the coming year.

With the continued support of the Minister for Aviation and Aerospace Technology, Festus Keyamo, he said NSIB with other sister agencies would set new benchmarks in accident investigation excellence.

His words, “Over the past 12 months, under my leadership as the Director General of the NSIB, we have witnessed a remarkable improvement in our accident investigation resolution rate. He urged stakeholders and the general public to pay close attention to the safety recommendations in the seven reports released by the agency, saying they contain invaluable lessons that must not be overlooked.

The insights offered within these documents, he explained serve as crucial guidance for preventing future occurrences and ensuring the safety of all lives involved in transportation.
