NAMA MD: Performance bond pivotal to advancing aviation sector
In the wake of the inauguration/induction of newly appointed Chief Executives and Directors, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr Ahmed Umar Farouk, has highlighted the pivotal role of performance bonds in advancing the aviation sector.
Farouk made this disclosure during the in-house inauguration/induction for the newly appointed Chief Executive Officers and Directors of aviation agencies held in Abuja.
He pledged NAMA’ s dedication to surpassing expectations, tackling challenges, and aligning with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiative and agenda.
The NAMA MD also accentuated NAMA’s commitment to enhancing communication in Nigerian airspace as he declared an emergency on power challenges, emphasizing that the agency had secured immediate government approval for the overhaul and modernization of the country’s airspace communication architecture.
He reassured the public of NAMA’s unwavering commitment to optimal performance, with a focus on benefiting the Nigerian community.
“The communication architecture of Nigerian airspace is now broadened, addressing issues that were prevalent before. We are dedicated to ensuring seamless communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.”
In response to NAMA’s request, the Federal Government has acceded to the overhaul and modernization of the communication architecture of the country’s airspace.
