In a bid to combine leisure with sports development, Turkish Airlines with the biggest connections in the global airline business held the 9th Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup tournament bringing together golf talents across the country.
The corporate golf tournament is globally renowned and continues to draw high-profile participants, serving as a vibrant intersection of sport, business, and global networking.

The Lagos leg of this event held at the Ikoyi Golf Club on November 1, 2024, brought together prominent figures from the local business community and top golf talent, as participants vied for a coveted spot in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Finals in Türkiye.
The Lagos tournament is part of a worldwide series encompassing 118 tournaments across 67 countries, featuring over 8,000 players.
High-profile figures and members of the business community attended the event. Since its inception in 2013, the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup now brings together over 8,000 players who compete against one another in more than 118 tournaments in 67 countries worldwide.

The event at Ikoyi Golf Club was the 104th of 118 tournaments in this year’s Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup–with the victors competing in the Grand Finals in Türkiye later this year.
From a global total of 118, winners go through to the Grand Finals and have the chance to stay & play at Gloria Serenity Resort & Gloria Golf Club on the Turkish Golf Coast.
Representing Lagos, Ademola Adeboya secured their champion position with 44 points, and M.A.O Amoloegbe was runner-up, while Daisi Olotu came third.
The closest to the Pin competition was won by M.A.O Amooegbe for the men and Ihuoma Onyearugha for the women. Majeed Ishaq won the lowest gross score with a score of 28 points.
