Chinese with persistent cough inside Ethiopian Airline plane trigger panic, quarantined

His persistent coughs inside the Ethiopian Airlines flight to Lagos from Addis Ababa, Ethiopian triggered concern of another case of Corona virus in Nigeria.

The uncontrollable cough outside the aircraft further raised concern, prompting  the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in conjunction with Port Health Officials took into medical facility a Chinese for observation for symptoms associated with Corona Virus.

The heavy cough of the Chinese onboard Ethiopian Airlines alerted airline crew and others to pay attention to the man.

He was reported coughing on board Ethiopian Airline flight enroute Addis Ababa-Lagos yesterday evening and at the arrival hall of the Murtala Mohammed international airport, Lagos, he was also observed to have coughed twice on arrival.

According to reports, he was immediately separated from other passengers and after check by Port health officials, he was scheduled to undergo other test.
He was immediately attended to by Port health staff and separated from other passengers.

The Lagos state Center for Disease Control was immediately notified to carry out further test on the Chinese citizen.
