COVID-19:585 Americans, Canadians evacuated from Nigeria
Following flight hitch encountered by an American based aircraft firm, Omni Air International which prevented the evacuation of over 300 Americans at the weekend, Ethiopian Airlines on Monday evacuated 385 America nationals from the Lagos airport.
The aircraft departed at about 4.40pm for Dulles International Airport, Washington DC.
Also on Monday, Canadians numbering over 200 were evacuated by an Ethiopian airline Boeing 767, flight ET8201 with Registration number ET-ALO.
After the normal airport formalities, the evacuees boarded the ET flight to Abuja to pick other Canadians.
On-board the flight were 200 persons and 11 crew, 137 airlifted from Lagos and 63 from Abuja.
The aircraft left Abuja to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia en route Toronto, Canada.
