Kadiri confirmed as MD/CEO of SAHCOL
The Board of the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), has confirmed the appointment of Rizwan Kadri as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (COO), with effect from 1st April, 2016.
Rizwan Kadri joined SAHCOL in December, 2015 as Chief Operating Officer (COO), but was later appointed as Acting Managing Director in January, 2016, after the former Managing Director, Oluropo Owolabi was moved to the Board.
The firm, in a statement said the performance of Kadri since his stepping into the pilot seat of SAHCOL has impacted positively on the image of the company, which has therefore given the Board further confidence of confirming his appointment, now as Managing Director/CEO.
The new Managing Director/CEO of SAHCOL is a Senior Aviation Ground and Airport Operations Executive, highly experienced in Aviation Management with over 25 years of extensive international experience gained in managing airports and airside operations, especially when it concerns Passenger and Cargo terminals, Ramp, Dangerous Goods Regulation (DGR), and is a licensed Load Controller for various aircraft types and for various airlines.
Kadri, had in the past served as the Director of Operations at the Indian Aviation Academy (IAA) in India. He also successfully headed and managed Qatar Airways as the Airport Manager in Mumbai Airport, India.
He has also worked with other Airlines like Kenya Airways, Emirates Airlines and Kuwait Airways, amongst others.
The new MD, is an IATA Certified Aviation Management Professional (AvMP), and holds a Bachelors of Science, from the Mumbai University, India, and an Executive MBA in Aviation and Quality Systems Management, from the National Institute of Business Management, India.
He has undergone many professional courses like IATA Station Management, IATA Station and Ground Handling Management, EASA Part 145, Airport Management, Ramp & Cargo Management, Emergency Response, Dangerous Goods.
He is an inspiring leader, expert communicator and motivator, who possess the ability to influence, understand and analyze the requirements and aspirations of an organisation.
Highly competent, with an excellent track record in leading large teams along with well developed management competencies, administration and external industry network with experience in detailed business review and organisation restructure.
